The American Academy of Vietnam (AAVN) is an English medium school that opens in August 2012 with 300 students from grade 6-12. AAVN adopts the Massachusetts standard curriculum together with AP courses in most of the subject areas. The school is located on a foundation but purpose built campus in An Phu, a residential suburb 3 kms from the city centre. Together with ISHCMC, AAVN is one of the two Cognita schools in Vietnam.

Our mission statement: The American Academy of Vietnam challenges its students to academic excellence through the medium of a college preparatory curriculum and US academic standards, with instruction in English language and the utilization of technology. The American Academy of Vietnam promotes community service and responsible global citizenship and the integral development of individual students with American and Asian values.
